John and his band were the headline act for Friday evening, and played to an enchanted crowd. This was his first appearance at Lyons, but unlikely to be his last.

Judging by his comments, this was also his first tour for some time - an event he seemed to enjoy immensely. He played a variety of songs from over the years, including many hysterically humourous ones, which were complimented by his dry humour and wit during the breaks.
