Thanks for dropping by........

Welcome to my humble home page. I wish I was creative with home pages but I'm not, so this will have to do until I can manage something better.

On this site you'll find some pages of parts of my life I feel like sharing with everyone. I've assembled some travel pages and photographs from my fairly extensive travels across the USA, as well as some concert pictures whilst there.
Over the past decade or so I've got seriously into the "alt country-folk-blues" genre, and have had the pleasure of attending the Telluride Festival in 1998 and the Lyons Folk Festival in 1999 to see and photograph some great artists like Alison Krauss, Nanci Griffith, Janis Ian, Beth Nielsen Chapman, John Prine, Greg Brown and Mary-Chapin Carpenter. Without doubt MCC is my favourite, as well as seeing her at Telluride and Lyons, I've seen her in venues from California to here in the UK, and took some more photographs at Asheville, North Carolina in 2000.

Closer to home, I've also been fortunate enough to photograph "alt country" genre artists Kevin Montgomery and Trish Murphy just a few miles from my home.

Following my 1998 visit to Telluride I hired a car and drove from Southern Colorado through Northern Arizona, Utah, Nevada, into California and then up the coast to San Francisco. Highlights of this trip were Monument Valley, Meteor Crater, Sunser Crater Volcano Park, Lowell Observatory, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mojave Desert, Hollywood, Sanata Monica, Pacific Coast Highway, Monterey Bay, and Yosemite park. Start here and travel 1800 miles with me on my first major US Awesome Adventure road trip.

In the summer of 1999 I visited Nashville and Memphis seeing many sights on the way, including Huntsville Space Center and Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo.

Then, in late 2002 it was time for my most epic adventure yet, this time with the companionship of my trusty roadtrip friend, Bond, as we re-visted sights in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and over the border into Mexico. See balloon flights at sunrise, jeep rides into the redrock hills, Canyon de Chelly, Canyonlands National park, Arches National Park, Guadalupe Mountains, Saguaro Cactus Park, UFO touchdown in Roswell and much, much more.

Like most websites, this one is under permanent construction! Things change, move, get added or deleted. As of November 2003 it is undergoing a major makeover, and I'm rmoving the last remnants from the old server space. If something doesn't work, or make sense, I probably already know about it, and will eventually fix it, but feel free to use the feedback form to tell me. A lot of my early pages are in a poor shape these days, and as and when time and inclination permit, I will update those.

Thanks for your understanding, and thanks for visiting.

This site includes no frames, very few fancy graphics, no flash, no cookies and no java. But it does include hundreds of photographs (well over 1000 at the last count!). I've tried to compress them as much as possible to avoid long download times, but please be patient. Most embedded in-line photographs can be clicked for a larger and less compressed image which will open in a new window. Yes! I know, it's really annoying when peoples websites start popping up windows all over your screen, but it does save you having to wait to re-load the main page. Some older pictures are at a much lower resolution than the later ones, perhaps one day I will re-scan the early ones!

All photo's (except where noted) were taken by the author, and I have put them here to share with everyone in cyberspace. Please don't steal them, or re-use them on your own website without proper credit/authorisation!!

Bored already? Then take a shortcut to my links page and keep on surfing.......

You can contact me through my feedback page.

and counting since November 2003 plus 9500 on the old homesite before that. Thank You!
